The target audience for this training is ELL para-professionals. In this workshop, educators will: Explore the rationale and research behind social and emotional learning; Examine the classroom strategies needed to identify and regulate emotions effectively; Develop plans of action to help students make responsible decisions in and out of the classroom; Reflect on how the strategies presented in the session align to content-area topics and positive behavior support systems; Practice “Mindful Moments” that encourage understanding, learning, and reflection.
