Course Description/Meeting Summary:

This session will be held online via Microsoft Teams and will provide hands on experience with Nearpod. Nearpod is a web based platform used to deliver instruction in face to face and distance learning settings. This session will cover creating and delivering a Nearpod Lesson. Funding for substitutes is available classroom teachers by the ITLM department.

Full Description/Meeting Details:

This virtual professional development day will include live sessions and self paced assignments. Participants will need to have a headphone and microphone to avoid audio feedback. Reserve a space where you can attend the live sessions and complete assignments with minimal interruptions.

By the end of this course participants will be able to:


  • to create and deliver a Nearpod lesson

  • describe and use interactive Nearpod features within a lesson

  • develop a Nearpod lesson that can be used for upcoming instruction

  • embed a Nearpod lesson in Canvas
