Thursday, September 4, 2025; 8:15 am - 2:45 pm
Location: The Hughes Branch of the Boys and Girls Club Gym on the north side of the OCPS Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) School Campus at 701 W. Livingston St., Orlando.
Target Audience: School-Based Elementary Physical Education, Music, and Dance Teachers at Traditional Schools
Each school is responsible for paying the substitute teacher costs. Follow school procedures to request temporary duty leave and to schedule a substitute teacher.
This face-to-face elementary dance training will include the fundamental elements of dance and will emphasize developing foundational motor skills. Teachers will use a variety of engaging methods to foster creativity and imagination. Teachers will also be exposed to a range of dance styles, including ballet, modern/contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and folk dances, to broaden their cultural awareness and appreciation for the art form.
Detailed parking instructions for the free OCPS ACE School garage located at the corner of Federal St. and N. Lee Ave. will be sent in a separate email.
Participants must attend from 8:15 am – 2:45 pm. Registration will occur from 7:45 to 8:15 am. Training will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. Please bring your lunch and plan to eat at the training location.
