The New Sky Cap training is intended for BRAND NEW School Skyward Captains (Sky Caps) responsible for training and supporting staff on the teacher portal (Gradebook and Attendance) at their school site. This training is intended for Sky Caps on all school levels who have NOT attended a previous Sky Cap training session. Training Facilitators: Laura Barajas and Cyd Musni.

Full Description/Meeting Details:

The New Sky Cap training is intended for BRAND NEW School Skyward Captains (Sky Caps) responsible for training and supporting staff on the teacher portal (Gradebook and Attendance) at their school site. This training is intended for Sky Caps on all school levels who have NOT attended a previous Sky Cap training session. The course begins and ends on July 18th, 2023. There is a 15 minute policy. This means you cannot be more than 15 minutes late at the beginning, returning from lunch, or leaving early for face to face or LIVE sessions. This results in no admittance. If you cannot stay for the duration of the PD, please remove yourself from the course.

• Navigate EA+ and Gradebook
• Post Daily Attendance
• Define Categories, Add Assignments and Assign Grades
• Utilize Grading tools Generate Reports
• Enter Transfer Grades
• Navigate Academic, Personal, and Social Development Gradebook (Elementary

Your pay date will depend upon the completion of the course and the date that your pay is confirmed, validated, and submitted.

Participants needing additional security access other than their assigned default permissions will need to have the additional security access completed by their school principal at least 2 weeks before the training. Principals can refer to the Modifying Security – Principals course for further details. 

The Skyward Basics Course, located in Canvas, must be completed prior to the participant’s first face-to-face training. Participants must finish the quiz at the end of the course to complete this training. Participants can access the Skyward Basics Course by clicking here. This course will provide each participant with the necessary background knowledge of the functionality and navigation within the system.
