Course Description/Meeting Summary:
This self-paced training is specific for teachers who are new to the instruction of Access Points. Administrators and other support staff who work with students with a significant cognitive disability are also encouraged to attend. Teachers will learn about the B.E.S.T. ELA and Math Access Points and the Essential Understandings (EUs) that unpack the Access Points to assist the teaching and learning of the standards. Information and resources will also be provided regarding the Science and Social Studies Access Points. Teachers will learn how to find and use a number of valuable resources designed to assist in the teaching and learning of Access Points.
