Heartsaver First Aid, Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, and AED Training

Tuesday, November 5, 2024 – 8:15 am-2:45 pm – 6-hour training with ½ hour lunch

Park in the free OCPS garage located at 565 Ronald Blocker Ave.

K-12 health and physical education teachers will learn about current evidence-based emergency first aid and cardiovascular care guidelines and practice the psychomotor skills associated with performing first aid and CPR. Participants who successfully complete this training will be issued American Heart Association Heartsaver for K-12 Schools certification cards. A Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED Student Workbook will be provided along with a pocket mask key chain.

Substitute teacher costs will be paid with district grant funding. Please complete your requests for temporary duty leave and for a substitute teacher as you normally do. Note in your TDY request that substitute teacher costs will be paid with district grant funds. I will provide specific payment instructions on the day of the training.

RBELC security measures require a school ID badge to gain access to the elevators at the RBELC. Please allow ample time to park, go through security, and take the elevators to the 3rd floor. 

The cafeteria is closed. Please bring lunch, snacks, and drinks. Please note that the room temperature may vary.
