Course Description/Meeting Summary:

Florida Standards Alternate Assessment (FSAA) Performance Task administration training. Required by the FLDOE for all teachers administering the FSAA - Performance Task. Teachers that have been trained in previous years can complete the online modules instead of attending in-person training. Check with Rachelle Kmetz if you have questions.

Full Description/Meeting Details:

This training is for teachers of students instructed in Access Points that meet the criteria to participate in an alternate assessment, who have not administered the Florida Standards Alternate Assessment (FSAA) and have not attended an FSAA training in the last 5 years. These teachers are required to attend an all-day face-to-face training provided by a district trainer on administration procedures. FSAA - Performance Task, including EOCs, will be administered in the spring of 2021 to students working on Access Points in assessed grades 3-12, depending on course enrollment. FSAA is aligned with the Florida Standards Access Points for English Language Arts and Mathematics and the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards Access Points for Science, M/J Civics and High School US History. Teachers will receive FSAA - Performance Task practice materials to use with their students after participating in the training. Please bring a laptop and headphones to access the resources. This training will take place at Ft. Gatlin Administrative Center, 3909 S. Summerlin Ave. Orlando, 32806 from 8:30-3:30. If you cannot attend the entire training, please sign up for a different date when arrangements can be made to stay for the whole training.

We will be following CDC guidelines by only allowing 10 participants to attend, face masks will be required and temperatures will be taken upon arrival. If you decide not to attend this training you must log into Canvas and cancel your registration to allow for others to attend in your place. If you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone that is sick, please cancel your registration. If you need to participate virtually due to health reasons, you must contact Rachelle Kmetz at Cisco #2002674, sign a "Virtual Training Commitment" form, and obtain administrator's approval.

Classes may be collapsed/combined due to low enrollment. Additional classes may be opened when/if we reach capacity in those already posted.
