Course Description/Meeting Summary:
Participants will learn how to successfully load and fire their kiln to complete their pottery projects with a step-by-step demonstration followed by a question and answer period. Participants will learn pottery hand-building techniques by creating a variety of projects that utilize coil, slab, and pinch pot construction methods. There will also be an opportunity for participants to experience throwing pottery on the wheel. This workshop is designed for K-12 OCPS Visual Arts Educators.
