Full Description/Meeting Details:

This face to face training is specific for OCPS employees that work with students with Autism in a unit setting. This training will focus on best practices for a rotational model including transitions, how to group students, reinforcement and social skills. Participants will learn strategies that support academics throughout the school day to an appropriate level of rigor while meetings the individualized needs of the students with Autism in their classrooms. Please bring a fully charged device for access to the web! Laptops preferred. IPads will not provide full functionality of the resources we will be looking at.

-The time and location of Putting Together The Puzzle of Autism Intro: Units is 8:30am to 3:30pm in the Media Center at Kaley Elementary School. There is a 15 minute policy. This means you cannot be more than 15 minutes late at the beginning, returning from lunch, or leaving early. This results in no admittance. If you cannot stay for the duration of the PD, please remove yourself from the course.
