Course Description/Meeting Summary:

Planning for the Instructional Framework is a course designed to support teachers in creating instructional sequences that utilize research-based strategies to support student proficiency and learning. This course will build teachers’ knowledge of the Instructional Framework by using the protocols and developmental scales to guide teacher practice and increase expertise. Participation in this course will support teachers in making positive connections to the framework in their work with students and within collaborative learning teams.

Planning for the Instructional Framework is a course designed to support teachers in creating instructional sequences that utilize research-based strategies to support student proficiency and learning. This course will build teachers’ knowledge of the Instructional Framework by using the protocols and developmental scales to guide teacher practice and increase expertise. Participation in this course will support teachers in making positive connections to the framework in their work with students and within collaborative learning teams.

Through this course, participants will engage in practice with deconstructing standards and planning for units of instruction using strategies from the Instructional Framework. This professional learning opportunity will support students in attaining to the level of thinking required of the standards.  They will have the opportunity to engage in active learning strategies and explore ways that Instructional Framework resources can be used to support collaboration, planning, and instruction.

This course includes required pre and post work components. Participants must successfully complete online coursework before attending the face-to-face training.
