Course Description/Meeting Summary:

The target audience for this training is HS Teachers of ELLs. This presentation will focus on how high school teachers can effectively use standard- based instructional supports to assist ELLs in developing and enhancing their writing skills in English. We will focus on three key strategies: using textual evidence to support writing, integrating meaningful vocabulary that connects text to writing, and utilizing dictionaries, software and/or technological resources throughout the writing process.
