Course Description/Meeting Summary:

This session will take place virtually via Zoom on January 20, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The intended audience for this session is teachers of ELL students in grades K-12. In order to comprehend grade-level content, all students need to build discipline-specific vocabulary. In this interactive session, you will experience at least 10 practical strategies for building academic vocabulary in content areas and guidance on deciding which words to directly teach.
