Course Description/Meeting Summary:
This full-day training is designed for new and experienced K-12 Exceptional Student Education (ESE) paraprofessionals. The training will focus on strategies for ESE paraprofessionals serving students in both the general education and ESE classroom settings. Topics include learner characteristics, factors that promote learning, strategies that promote independence, systematic direct instruction, and roles and responsibilities.

Full Description/Meeting Details:
This training will be held from 8:30-3:30 BEHIND Shenandoah Elementary in Portable #5 of the ESE training rooms. The entrance is ONLY accessible via Hoffner Ave. The school building address is: 4827 S Conway Rd, Orlando, FL 32812, however, use this parking map or use your phone to click on these exact Google Maps coordinates in order to access parking and the portable. The portable is NOT connected or accessible through the school.
There is a 15-minute policy. This means you cannot be more than 15 minutes late at the beginning, after lunch or breaks, or leave early. This will result in no admittance. If you cannot stay for the entire duration of the professional learning or are no longer able to attend, please remove yourself from the course so that participants on the wait list can be added to the class.
