Full Description/Meeting Details:

Do you have students who are at the very beginning stage of developing a communication system? In this workshop participants learn to create environments and implement activities and interactional strategies that encourage independence, control, and active engagement in students with significant cognitive disabilities.  In addition to hands on with technology, this presentation includes topics related to communication, communication assessment, alternate physical access, and curriculum supports.

Target audience:  Teachers, SLPs, and paraprofessionals working with students with significant cognitive disabilities
