Participants will explore the OCPS Behavior Interventions Handbook to identify appropriate interventions across Tiers 1, 2, and 3. Through engaging with real-world scenarios, educators will learn how to select and implement targeted strategies that reduce challenging behaviors and promote the development of meaningful, functional skills.

Empower your classroom with effective, evidence-based strategies! This interactive course offers educators a comprehensive introduction to the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) for behavior within Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), designed to support both general education and exceptional student education (ESE) populations.
Participants will explore the OCPS Behavior Interventions Handbook to identify appropriate interventions across Tiers 1, 2, and 3. Through engaging with real-world scenarios, educators will learn how to select and implement targeted strategies that reduce challenging behaviors and promote the development of meaningful, functional skills.
Whether you're new to MTSS or looking to refine your approach, this course will equip you with practical tools and insights to create a more positive, inclusive learning environment for all students and help prevent behavior challenges in your classroom.
To be successful in this course please note:
- This is a self-paced course. We recommend completing the course over multiple days.
- The course takes about 3 hours to complete.
- 3 hours of in-service points to be used for recertification will be awarded once a certificate is obtained.
- This course will end on June 30th, 2026.
- The course will generate a certificate once all criteria have been met. In order to meet this requirement, you also need to complete the PD Evaluation form at the end of the course.
- Please look for component number 2100002 on your in-service record with a value of 3 professional learning points.
