Course Description/Meeting Summary:
Access Points 1.0 is a face to face training, designed for K-12 educators new to instructing students on Access Points. Educators will increase their knowledge of Person First Language, Presumed Competence, and the foundations of the teaching and learning of Access Points. The resource book Adapting Unstoppable Learning will be provided, and educators will begin their understanding of the Triangle of Support and a focus on Curriculum Adaptations. Participants will need to bring a laptop to engage in the training. This training is being held at Baldwin Park Elementary in Portable #9, from 8:30-3:30. Park in the lot that is adjacent to the school on the left hand side (when looking at the front of the school). The address is: 1750 Common Way Rd. Orlando, 32814. The training portables are at the far back left hand side of the parking lot and you do not need to go through the front office.

In the event that there are less than 5 participants signed up, this course will be canceled within 72 hours. You will receive an email if this occurs.

There is a 15 minute policy. This means you cannot be more than 15 minutes late at the beginning, returning from lunch, or leaving early for face to face sessions. This results in no admittance. If you cannot stay for the duration of the PL, please remove yourself from the course.
