Course Description/Meeting Summary:
Target Audience: The target audience for the BSTS Cohort Series is behavior specialists and/or designees. Please do not enroll if you are not in the target audience for this series. The series is intended for those wishing to develop a better understanding of behavior across a wide spectrum of students. More traditional content related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is covered as well as other factors to consider when analyzing behavior and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP's). Each course is uniquely designed to support the continuous learning of staff as they work within the general education setting as well as the self-contained setting. As a participant in these courses, behavior management and leadership skills are grown in the context of the school environment. Participants of the Behavior Specialist/ Designee Training Series will engage in multiple levels of learning. This program is considered to be knowledge acquisition.
