Course Description/Meeting Summary:

This face-to-face course is designed for OCPS employees that work with students with autism and other related disabilities in the separate classroom learning environment. The purpose of this course is for educators who want to effectively teach students with autism or who are neurodivergent so that they can thrive in their learning environment. We will focus on preparing and equipping the participants to meet the diverse needs of their students. We will focus on minimizing behavior that is challenging and confidently supporting students when challenging situations do happen. This face to face Professional Learning will be held at Baldwin Park Elementary Portable 10 from 8:30-3:30 on 1/27/2026.

• In the event that there are less than 5 participants signed up, this course will be canceled within 72 hours. You will receive an email if this occurs.

• There is a 15 minute policy. This means you cannot be more than 15 minutes late at the beginning, returning from lunch, or leaving early for face to face sessions. This results in no admittance. If you cannot stay for the duration of the PL, please remove yourself from the course.
