Full Description/Meeting Details:
This course will provide participants with the information and tools necessary to effectively collect appropriate behavioral data and graph it as part of the process in completing a functional behavioral assessment for a student whose behavior is interfering with learning. They will be exposed to a variety of situations and will be expected to analyze the pros and cons regarding each behavior data collection system presented. They will walk through the steps in developing a graph based on data that has been collected, as student behavior data is collected, and it can be plotted on a graphical display so that educators can track behavior, analyze trends and patterns, and determine appropriate interventions. Lastly, participants will be provided hands-on practice using Microsoft Excel by creating a graph from scratch, manipulating graph components, and using the OCPS graphing template. Additionally, participants will be provided with guided experience in data analysis and selecting interventions. Location Sunridge Elementary School.
