Course Description/Meeting Summary:
This self-paced course is designed for teachers that teach K-5 students with autism. If you have ever found yourself wondering why a student is not yet participating in class, does not seem to follow directions, or has difficulty transitioning within a class. We must first look at the student's basic learner skills. This course will be taking a deeper dive into these much-needed basic skills (e.g. Functional Routines, Motor Imitation, Visual Performance, and Play & Leisure Skills) that set the foundation for later academic success.
