Course Description/Meeting Summary:

This course is currently for school-based employees only. YMHFA is an education program that introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents. YMHFA emphasizes the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent who is in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.

Full Description/Meeting Details:

This is a six-hour, face-to-face course, and there is required pre-work (about 20 minutes) that needs to be completed before you attend the course. A link to the pre-work will be sent to you by your instructors. The training will take place from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Edgewater Annex, FDLRS Semoran room, located at 3130 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Florida 32804. This is a state-mandated course.
