Course Description/Meeting Summary:
This course is currently for school-based employees only. YMHFA is an education program that introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents. YMHFA emphasizes the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent who is in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.

Full Description/Meeting Details:
This is a six hour, face to face course, and there is required pre-work (about 20 minutes), that needs to be completed before you attend the course. A link to the pre-work will be sent to you from your instructors. The training time is from 8:30-3:30, and it will be located at Carver Middle School 4500 W. Columbia St, Orlando, FL 32811.This is a state mandated course. You must attend all 6 hours of the course, to receive points and get certified through Mental Health First Aid.
