Full Description/Meeting Details:
This course is designed for school staff who want to learn verbal de-escalation and disengagement strategies that may be used in preventing and/or stopping misbehavior. This course utilizes the Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) curriculum for verbal de-escalation and disengagement. If you are currently CPI certified you will have already been taught this information and the disengagement strategies.
*This course does not provide ESE professional development points. Participants will receive 6 professional development points that will count towards general recertification.
This one day course will be offered at the Kaley Exceptional Student Education Services Building in the Cafeteria (1600 E. Kaley Street, Orlando, FL 32806.)
