Full Description/Meeting Details:

YMHFA overviews risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems to youth. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to a youth in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. At the end of the course, participants who meet all the requirements, will be qualified to be a Certified Youth Mental Health First Aider through the National Council for Behavioral Health. National Council certification requirements include being present no later than 15 minutes after the start time, completing the full training of 6 hours, passing the required test at the end of the training, and completing a required online evaluation. 

This course has an attendance limit of 30 participants and will be cancelled if less than 5 participants are enrolled 48 hours prior to the course. Please feel free to bring your lunch, as eating locations may be limited.
