Course Description/Meeting Summary:
SLP, teachers, paraprofessionals, and behavior specialists will have the opportunity to learn about AAC myths, communication competencies, AT consideration process, access methods, low/mid tech AAC devices and their features, and apply the new knowledge to program and implement/integrate devices within selected activities.

Full Description/Meeting Details:
In this professional learning workshop participants will interact with and program a variety of low and mid tech augmentative communication systems. Information will be provided on symbol systems, vocabulary selection, and display organization. Participants will have opportunities to apply their new knowledge to program and implement devices within selected activities.
