Course Description/Meeting Summary:

This series is designed to help those new to running the Media Center at their school learn the many aspects of the job. The classes are open to all instructional and classified personnel who are working in school libraries. Experienced Media Specialists who want to update their skills are also welcome.

Full Description/Meeting Details:

This six part series is designed to help those new to running the media center learn the skills needed to create a vibrant program at their schools.  The focus will be on the many aspects of running a library including the roles of the media specialist, cataloging and processing, collection development, budgeting and purchasing, curriculum and instruction in the media center and more.
