Course Description/Meeting Summary:
Collaborative Teaching & Planning is designed to provide professional learning to general and exceptional education teachers working together in partnership to provide services and supports to students with disabilities in inclusive settings. Teacher partnerships will have time to get to know one another and learn how to plan and implement the five collaborative teaching approaches. These approaches will be modeled and taught as well as how to implement Specially Designed Instruction within the collaborative teaching approaches.

Collaborative Teaching & Planning is designed to provide professional learning to general and exceptional education teachers working together in partnership to provide services and supports to students with disabilities in inclusive settings. Teacher partnerships will have time to get to know one another and learn how to plan and implement the five collaborative teaching approaches. These approaches will be modeled and taught as well as how to implement Specially Designed Instruction within the collaborative teaching approaches.
The target audience: Middle School Support Facilitation teachers and their General Education partners. Partnerships are expected to attend together. Teacher partnerships are required to submit pre- and post- Student Engagement Data prior to receiving 6 in-service points. This will be discussed during the professional learning session. You will have the option to read or listen to selections of text. Please bring readers (if needed) and your personal headphones and device (phone, iPad).
This professional learning will take place at Gotha Middle School, ESE Training Portable 10. Please follow the signs for ESE Training to park & enter.
