This course was designed to provide participants with an overview of the stages of crisis and provide strategies and resources to utilize at each stage.
To be successful in this course, please note the following:
- This is a self-paced course.
- The course takes about 3 hours to complete.
- 3 hours of in-service points to be used for professional educator's recertification will be awarded once a certificate is obtained.
- The course will generate a professional learning certificate once all criteria have been met. In order to meet this requirement, you also need to complete the PL Evaluation form at the end of the course.
- Points for the Verbal De-Escalation course will show on your in-service record as "Crisis Prevention." When you check your in-service record, please look for this description with a point value of 3. The component number for this course is 6403002.
