Course Description/Meeting Summary:

The Secondary CDL team is offering a professional development opportunity for MS administrators over courses that offer Progress Monitor Activities (PMAs). The PD will focus on understanding the purpose of the PMA and its performance bands as well as best practices for using the data and resources available to plan for the instructional response to the data.

Full Description/Meeting Details:

Target Audience: MS Administrators over Mathematics

 

The Secondary CDL team is offering a professional development opportunity for MS administrators over courses that offer Progress Monitor Activities (PMAs).  Some topics that will be included in Effectively Using the PMAs to Plan for Instruction are:

  • Clarifying the Purpose for the PMA
  • Understanding the PMA Bands
  • Using the PMA Data to plan for an instructional response 
  • Effectively grouping students for Instruction 
  • Diving Deeper with the Distractor Rationale

While this PD is after the 1st PMA window, the goal would be to equip administrators with the resources available to them for PMA 2 and PMA 3. We will be collaborating with the RAG department to provide a cohesive learning experience focused on not only interpreting the data, but also how to use it best to inform instructional next steps.
