The Florida Prevention Code requires that all places of assembly must have at least one crowd manager or crowd manager supervisor. When occupant loads exceed 250 additional occupants a crowd manager or supervisor may be required by the ratio of one manager per 250 occupants.

Full Description/Meeting Details:

In the Occupancy Fire Safety portions of the Florida Fire Prevention Code (FFPC), there is a requirement for Crowd Managers. Specifically in auditoriums and related assembly occupancies there should be one Crowd Manager for every 250 occupants in attendance.
The goal of this is to provide knowledge to draw from when planning for events, managing them during normal operations, and how to act if an emergency occurs. While school staff are clearly experienced in managing students’ activities, this training is also meant to address the needs of parents and visitors to OCPS facilities who may not be familiar with exits and other emergency features.
